FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAMS

Support Programs

Kids Central and its partners are dedicated to providing support programs to assist children and families, young adults, expectant mothers, caregivers and anyone who is invested in the well-being of children. We offer a variety of support programs to that end.

Independent Living Program

Kids Central works to help youth and young adults build a strong foundation for their lives. Our Independent Living and Extended Foster Care provide young adults with the life skills and services that they need to make a successful transition to the responsibilities of adulthood.

Family Preservation Services

Kids Central is dedicated to helping local families thrive. Our Family Preservation Services work to prevent abuse and neglect – and keep families together – through education, resources, and other supports. Merely a few of these important programs include Baby Sleep Basics, the Parenting Journey Program, the Family Team Conference, and Parent Needs Assistance.

Kids Central helps expectant mothers as the managing organization for the statewide Healthy Start program in Alachua, Hernando, and Lake Counties. Screenings for this free program are available to all pregnant women and families with babies up to age 3.
